Finally, winter has arrived in North Texas. This morning we awoke to sub-freezing temperatures — and snow! Well, it was Texas Snow, which means it measured in millimeters rather than inches. Regardless, it’s now beginning to feel winterish. That’s a good thing for this guy who grew up in SoCal with palm trees and warm sunny days in December.
Speaking of December, around the Polanco household it’s starting to become a bit exciting. Two birthdays to celebrate between now and Christmas – one of them is 12/12/12 and the other is on the 21st of December – an auspicious day if you’re Mayan. There’s also two “kids” and spouses showing up for the Christmas holidays. Now that the kids live in SoCal, I’m hoping for some good winter weather to provide them a reason to stay there – and a good place for us to visit.
