It was announced this past week that FedEx Kinko’s is outsourcing their online solution to VistaPrint. We can discuss, as many are doing, as to what went wrong resulting in FedEx Kinko’s outsourcing rather than using their own solution. I’d rather ask the question, what does this portend for the rest of the industry?
Will this provide opportunities for many printers since FedEx Kinko’s has met with limited success playing in the commercial print world? Or will it be another set back for the small/commercial/quick printer, which comprise nearly 70% of the industry? Or more to the point, does it show the industry that Web2Print is really here to stay?
