Get Off The Porch

There’s a saying that’s been around for years which is appropriate for many in today’s business economy.  “If you’re going to run with the big dogs, you gotta get off the porch.”

For the past several years many small businesses have been in stagnation mode (we’re not just talking print).  The economy has beat them up and the rattling of sabers from the progressive side of the political aisle has created all sorts of paranoia – some of it legit.  So everyone is now on the porch watching and waiting to see what’s going to happen in November.  Does it matter?

Is business going to die if Obama is re-elected?  Will we see double digit growth if Mitt is elected?  Anyone who understands politics and economics, and is honest, will tell you that over the next 18 months we’re not going to see substantial change to the economy, unemployment, housing, etc.  So, why are we waiting?  There’s business out there — you just gotta get after it!
